The short tour, guided by Flint:

Starting at 10:15 in Trieben, 9 combinations joined the ride - from an MZ with 2 persons up to Richards 1150 GS with Duodrive. Using smaller roads, we passed Trieben, Selzthal, Lassing, Döllach, Aigen and Stainach to get to the Spechtenseehütte. There was heavy snowfall and gusty winds, but still we made it there, some with snow chains.

At the hut we had a good meal, and 2 hours later we tried to take the direct route down to Wörschach on the gravel road. But no avail, we had to turn around and needed hours to get back to the Asphalt road due to deep snow.

"Also the others, which were not going on one of the trips on saturday, had their moments ...Nun, auch die am Samstag am Treffen am Berg gebliebenen haben jede Menge erlebt!
Getting up at eight, I had breakfast in my tent (with snow storm outside), then at nine simply rode up to the hut - with snow chain and a ski on the sidecar wheel.
After that I drove down again, to fetch some stuff for drying it. On the way up again, I had to turn around because of oncoming traffic - there I must have damaged my chain ...
When I tried to drive up again, the chain broke and damaged the rear swing arm (chain tensioner etc) - in the middle of that snow storm, alone, on the driveway to the hut. I made it down to my tent, but the repair in front of my tent was not big fun.
I could produce a makeshift chain tensioner from a spark plug tool, and was able to drive up to the hut without snow chains, in the end.""

The rescue vehicle came last: Uwe and Peter arrived at 1 a.m. in the morning.
